Download stops always at the same part
 

I'm having some problems to download a video from a friend of mine. 3 days ago I downloaded a huge video from him perfectly. Then I started to download another video, about 160 MB. When there were just 2 MB left to finish it, the transfer stopped and didn't resume again. I've tried many times to restart it, with no success, so that I've decided to download the video since the beginning again. But since then, something really strange is happening: the download starts fine, but gets stuck right at the beginning, exactly at 57kb! I've deleted that file many times, and restarted the download over and over again, but it always stops at 57kb. I don't know if that has already happened to anyone of you, but I don't know what's causing that, as I've downloaded the other video normally. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

is this exact reply you are getting or did you remove (ip,port) part?
do you have this problem with any other server?
since you don't have firewall/router, try to use PORT mode instead of PASV.
go to http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks and make sure your MTU and RWIN are set to optimal values
