Searchable Offline Cache/Database
 

I was wondering if anyone has considered building in a feature that could cache directory and/or file infomation in an offline or online sortable and searchable database.

We all have seen them.. Very large "archive" ftps of various sorts. Instead of searching through the ftp database, holding up server time, it would be nice to catalog the site. Then you could either export the catalog to an external application or use some basic built in functions. The infomation could be imported into a web based catalog as well.
