I know in the old days, FTP and using TXT mode for transferring files, that one of the reasons was to try and preserve some bandwidth.

Check For New Version
Not sure if its just me ... but I noticed when I go to Help->Check for New Version I get the following :
I see the 3 radio buttons each flash green, and then very quickly it reports :

FTP File Date Question
Hi,
Not sure if you remember me, but we discussed sometime ago the preserve file date where the file would be a second out or so ... and you switched to a new method for file / datetime stamp...
